Potty Training Humour

I have been potty training Riaan.....literally with a vengeance.

But each time I reach even an iota of success, something changes his routine and I have him back in his pull ups.

Lately however the efforts have paid off and he's learnt to stay dry.

What he has also learned though are various names to call his 'willy' by....

1. ' poochi poochi'
2. wee willy
3. little Riaan ...

One day however, when I took him to wee and he finished his job and was putting his pants on, he, in my opinion, like a creative genius, turned around and said, "Mumma, I need to put my baby kangaroo back in its pouch"

Big Boy!

Ashish : Riaan, you are a big boy now. Please eat your breakfast by yourself.
Riaan : No pappy, I'm not a big boy. (kids are so honest!!)
Ashish : You not a big boy? THEN WHAT ARE YOU?  (he'd lost his patience by now)
Riaan (teary and terrified of the yelling) : sniff, I'm Riaan....Siddh Bhaaag waj

Berlin Bound

OK so the time had come that I have to get over my extended maternity leave an d get down to business. As much as I was staying away from travelling on work, I now have to do it........out of the country.....for 4 whole days!

While I have complete faith in the fact that I will not be missed by my son.....he is a daddy's boy after all......am scared to know what the state of my family will be at my return....

what i am expecting to see is
  1.  A messy house (thats a given)
  2. A messy kitchen (even more obvious)
  3. Unlaundered clothes (no man likes to wash clothes, even if its just putting them in the washer and switching the ON button on.)

I have a 'present for you'

Riaan is 2.2 months old now.

This was about 6 months ago, around the time when he had just learnt to speak small sentences and repeated everything he heard.

One of his favourite CBeebies shows had a character giving gifts to his friends, constantly using the line 'i have a present for you'.

So after watching the show, all Riaan kept saying to me all day long is 'Mumma, I have a present for you'....which i thought was priceless until.........he said it to me one early morning, while sitting on his potty.

Unfortunately, i am wary about accepting presents from him :)

Mumma, can you please tell me the tiger about the story :)
